Review on 💧 Proteus AQUO: Smart WiFi Water Detector with Buzzer and Email/Text Alerts by Ken Hamdan

A few years ago I was walking through our full basement conversion and my socks were soaked through - the carpet was soaked. Our sump pump failed and our backup sump pump didn't turn on because its switch was stuck (so make sure to lift and check these switches regularly). I happened to catch him earlier, but he still cost us several thousand dollars in damage, treatment, and recovery. I went to Home Depot and bought a cheap battery powered water alarm. Yes it is noisy when you are around but where are the drain pumps located? Basement, cellar. If you're at the top you might hear it eventually, but if not, then depending on how much water you pour into the swamp, you could still get swamped when you hear it. Proteus AQUO: I reluctantly bought this. It's not cheap and it's not very impressive judging by the pictures. Make no mistake - this is a fantastically executed product and service. Unlike the cheap store-bought water alarm I used, the Proteus AQUO emits intermittent beeps (beep-beep-beep-beep), as opposed to a constant endless single beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. (Our ears can become desensitized to a constant, endless tone, especially when it's faint.) More importantly, there's a premium paid service available at a very affordable price that lets you text, email, and/or call provided. I set it up to ring all our cell phones (wife, teenage kid, me). But at night we turn off our phones. We still have our home phone and don't mute it, so I set it up to ring our home phone as well, which would wake us up in the middle of the night when it rings (which in this case I really like , would do very much I would like). I've also set it up to send us emails and texts - if my cesspool is on its way to filling and overflowing I want as many ways as possible to know about it ASAP. And we've tested it - it calls, emails and texts instantly. Bravo! Proteus AQUO is absolutely brilliant. I will install another one next to our huge water heater. I highly recommend this product.
