I admit I should spend more time learning this, but the module doesn't work as advertised unless you're an Arduino programmer. My intention is to learn how to use the Arduino at some point, but not now. I can turn on the module, see the SSID and connect to my phone, but the controller apps won't talk to it. Apparently there needs to be some sort of server running on the chip with programming to allow communication, and that's beyond my attempts at using a simple app to turn this on and off. Why it should be made so complicated on purpose is beyond me. No documentation with something like that is also not acceptable!
