Dueler A/T 697 was the product that prompted me to make the transition to a new one. I purposely refrained from reading the tests and descriptions since I wanted to experience the difference for myself. It used to be that I didn't like driving with an open window very much, but now I find that I can do it pretty comfortably because the noise isn't as distracting. After that, it dawned on me that the Japanese had made improvements to the vehicle's resistance to hydroplaning. When it was wet, the automobile would slide all over the place, but today it handles the slippery surface much better. This boosts the driver's sense of confidence, enables more maneuverability, and makes it easier to pass other vehicles when necessary. The handling, by the way, is satisfactory; even the tiniest adjustment of the steering wheel is met with an immediate reaction from the wheels. A pretty wonderful option for those individuals who are prepared to invest money and are looking for off-road tires that are able to function properly on asphalt.
