I used carriage bolts and wing nuts to attach it to a permanent tool box in the bed of my pickup truck. The nuts are secured in the tool box but easily accessible and removable. When I'm not using them, I take them off and leave a few small holes. Lock bolts deter theft and allow us to lock our bikes while we're grabbing a bite to eat or making a pit stop. I found the rack held the bikes better when I flipped it over and put the REAR TIRES in. The front wheels spin, causing the bikes to rattle and wobble. .
