I keep one in my car and one in my wife's SUV for use with a jack. The one in my car is fine, first time I used it and it started flexing the rubber more and more when the jack was raised and the hinge on the car actually cut through the rubber, almost through. Your SUV is 3500 pounds, my car is 3000 pounds. Bad quality control.
