It seems no worse than the original filter.

1998 Monte Carlo, 32.xxx miles. Apparently there was still the original filter which was "clogged" with mice nesting in the airbox. That said, the original filter was still intact, but the seat material was clogging the element and I wasn't comfortable trying to clean it. The replacement looks just as good as the original. This is not always the case with AC Delco products. Fits well, well formed wraparound seal, lots of pleats in the filter media.
