This is a great replacement for Festool sliding saw guides. I was tempted to buy the Makita version as the reviews said the adhesion of this product was poor. Glad I took the risk. I'm always happy to buy OEM replacements for products as long as the price is comparable. I had no adhesion issues (even in colder weather). The key to applying any type of adhesive/tape is surface preparation. You must ensure that the surface is completely free of any oil or debris. I scraped off most of the old glue with a spatula (being careful not to scratch the aluminum), then wiped off the rest with a rag and some MEK. At the same time, the glue stuck perfectly. I also like the fact that this replacement is a transparent rubber. It's much easier to see your brand in relation to the edge.
