Review on Vitamix 15856 Container 64 Oz by Jake Meyer

We bought the Vitamix 5000 over 20 years ago because blenders gave up the ghost after a year. Post-workout drinks were optional for us and we needed a reliable machine to make them 2-3 times a week. Our Vitamix works well but takes longer to age than I care to admit. In fact, the bin looked so awful no matter what I did to clean it - even the kids wanted to throw it out! The solution was a new container. A little research led me to this product. We are all excited. It looks good and works well. This slight delay when starting the mix is also gone with the new container. So why only 4 stars? "It's still plastic, which I don't like and will most likely look like my old one in a few years. For the price it should have been glass. This product is clearly overpriced and I can't feel good about spending that much on plastic. I just didn't want to go back to disappointing mixer country so I'll enjoy it while it's still clear and hopefully have a glass version if I decide to replace this one.
