Received and installed a defective part

Bought. I paid a lot of money for the installation but the car still doesn't charge. I went to another dealer, they confirmed that the generator is not charging. My machine has been down for about 2 weeks now and that's not all. And now I have to pay for the labor and a new part. Spend your extra money on one that works and don't bother with it.
