Review on Keep Your Kitten Entertained With ItPlus Interactive Cat Toy - Chaser Training Rod With Feather Wand And Refill Replaceable Feathers (Style 1) by Daniela Velasquez

Cat and kid approved!

My cat loves feather toys. She goes crazy for them, which usually means she rips out all of the feathers pretty quickly. The good news about this toy is that is comes with 2 replacement feather pieces! Now she can shred them to her hearts content and still have a toy to play with for a few months. Wand toys are the best because you can really get your cat moving. And your cat gets the reward of actually catching something, unlike the laser pointers. The wand is a single piece. I had a toy like this before that came in two sections. Using just the one section made for too short of a wand that didn't get a good movement of the toy on the end. Using both pieces made it a good length but it tended to come apart with rough play. This is a much better length using just a single section of wand. The bell at the end of the string did not do much for my cat. She was not attracted by the sound. Maybe as we continue using this toy she will learn that the sound of the bell means it is time to play - a little Pavlovian conditioning for cats. The feathers appear to be held on well. I think this will last a little longer than other feather toys that start to fall apart after just one or two play sessions. The string has a nice amount of stretch to increase the sense of prey trying to escape from your cat. All around, I think this is a well designed cat toy. My cat gave it her stamp of approval. (So did my 3-year-old daughter who likes to pretend to be a cat!)Sorry the picture is a bit blurry, but the cat is in motion to catch the feathers.

Pros
  • This interactive cat toy provides endless entertainment for your kitten, helping to stimulate their hunting instincts and keep them active and engaged
Cons
  • Over time, your kitten may lose interest in the toy altogether, rendering it obsolete and a waste of money
