When I ordered these pens there were no reviews and I took the risk of buying this set of 150 colored pencils. I have to say I'm delighted with them. I tried each one on yesterday and they are very pigmented, creamy and a dream to work with. I find that the hand blender works really well. The lack of names doesn't bother me because color is everything. The numbers on the pens correspond to the Pantone color system, but again I'm more interested in the actual color than the name. The pens themselves have a hard, smooth finish and feel heavier than other pens, and for good reason: the leads are significantly larger than any other pen I've owned. That means more productivity per pencil. I found the color scheme to be a great mix of tones, leaning more towards blue, pink and green, but at the same time there are a lot of earthy tones. There are no metallic colors. There was no damage during transport. The tin can is made of thicker metal and is easy to open. The trays are a bit flimsy and I will be securing them with thin wooden slats glued to the bottom. Each pen has its own stand and is not clamped in place, allowing the pen to be easily removed for use. I didn't notice any unpleasant odor - it just smells like crayons. I haven't sharpened one yet, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I highly recommend this set, especially for the price. You get a high quality product at a great price and you won't be disappointed. I may have to get another set before they go away.
