My new favorite colored pencils.

What I didn't like was that the lettering was printed in silver. It is very difficult to see the silver, especially as the numbers are so small and there are no color names on either the pins or the glass. It could even be a piece of paper with the name of each numbered pencil on it. But those are the little things I didn't pay attention to. And of course we all know how a person handles these little things. But I really like using them. This is my new favorite colored pencil, maybe I'll giveโ€ฆ

Keep Your Money In Pencils

These are wax based pencils made in Taiwan. They smell like used oil. They are not categorized as Professional, Superior Artist, Premium, or Lightfast. They are soft, but also prickly and scaly. They lie down spotted or striped. Layering and blending is not good. Lots of pastels, repetitive colors, muddy colors, lack of different tones and colors. There are only #s on the pins except black and white, they are named. The pens themselves are really nice smooth black cylinders with colored tipsโ€ฆ

good. Yes, these pens smell when you first open them, but once opened a little it dissipates. These pens are really good. I've learned (because all pencils have a learning curve) that if you're easy on them, they'll be your friends. They mix well and layer too. But you have to work with a LIGHT HAND! They are so beautiful once you get the hang of them. WHAT OFFER! $37 for 150 pencils and they're good! Edit: I've had these pens for a while now and have been testing them in my steps. I have toโ€ฆ

There is no formula for every pencil. Various designs in projects. Not for professional use.

This is a comprehensive colored pencil set with a large selection of secondary and tertiary colours. The pigmentation of each wax-based pencil basically corresponds exactly to the color indicator on the outside of the barrel. The saturation of the pigment in each base consistency depends on each pencil. Some of the more pigmented colors are smooth and creamy, while others are chalky or streaked in lighter or mid-tones. Some of these pens do not have a consistent color across the core of theโ€ฆ

Consistently high quality and a great addition

When I ordered these pens there were no reviews and I took the risk of buying this set of 150 colored pencils. I have to say I'm delighted with them. I tried each one on yesterday and they are very pigmented, creamy and a dream to work with. I find that the hand blender works really well. The lack of names doesn't bother me because color is everything. The numbers on the pens correspond to the Pantone color system, but again I'm more interested in the actual color than the name. The pensโ€ฆ

A fantastic set of wax based pencils using the Pantone color system.

finally! Big box of wax based pencils! I asked the seller directly because no one could tell me if these pens were wax or oil based. They answered me very quickly: these pencils are a bit harder than prisms. They mix and layer easily. So for about half the price of Prismacolor, you get a great everyday pencil case that's far less prone to breakage. I know I'll worry a lot less about this pencil set than more expensive brands. The color palette is wonderful. More pastels and browns than theโ€ฆ
