Surprisingly bright light

When riding my bike down the street I want to be the brightest and most distracting thing the rider can see. I used a Bontrager Flare R taillight, which is a good light, but a friend told me the NiteRider puts out brighter lights than what I was using, so I had to buy one and try it. Pros - This light is BRIGHT. I mean REALLY BRIGHT. If you turn your flash to its brightest and look directly into the light, you'll see spots for a good 30 seconds. I like it in that light. I also like the different patterns programmed by the light. I mostly use the two "regular" flashes and then a third super bright flash as I feel it gives me great daytime visibility without draining the battery too quickly. I also find this light very affordable (I've paid a lot more for a lot less on some other lights). For me, the price of helmets and flashlights doesn't matter, I don't want to complain about the cost of good safety equipment. USB port for charging. I have several headlights and taillights that use USB ports to charge the internal battery, and of all, this is my least favorite port cover (hard to put back in after charging). Unknown - battery life. So far I haven't had any issues with the battery draining while driving, but I bought it in the winter and my longest ride with this light was only about 90 minutes. I look forward to doing much longer rides with this light and hope to get 5-6 hours of riding with it.
