This is a very nice gift pen for those who like to write in traditional ink, journal or draw. The kit includes everything you need to start writing the old-fashioned way. Note that the ink bottle is designed in such a way that you have to use your thumbnail to pry the little rubbery cap off the bottle and is therefore very messy. . I have ink on all my fingers and under a nail. This is the only way to pry it open as it is flush with the top. But once that connector is off, you can use ink. I was surprised at how long I could write without having to refill the tip of the pen by dropping it into the indentation. The line the pen draws is good and I didn't have a problem with large blobs of ink. Cleaning the handle was easy: I just washed it under running water. All in all this is a very cool set and I would highly recommend it for those nostalgic and a reminder of the power of the pen!
