Review on Targus ACH63US Super Mini 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Enhanced SEO by Kyle Deel

and it seems wonky

I've had this for many years and it works fine for me. So small but so effective. I can't remember where I bought it or how much I paid, so these factors are debatable. I haven't used it in a while and it seems the wobbly D-shaped micro/mini/whatever USB connector is getting a little touchy. Nothing good disassembly and cleaning should not be fixed. The only oddity I had since purchasing it was the presence of a connector for an external power supply. I had a hard time finding information on how to get it, although I never needed anything like that. I have read reviews of this item and there is some dismay at the red USB-A connector. I've used this hub with and without the red and haven't noticed any difference. Of course, I didn't have any devices connected to it except a wireless mouse, keyboard, and printer. Nothing fancy like joysticks or anything that takes a lot of power. I recently visited the Targus website to find product information and it seems Targus no longer endorses, manufactures or recognizes this gem. There is no documentation on their site, but Google can 'help' to a limited extent. I haven't found anything more technical than a quick start guide that doesn't say exactly what I need (datasheets, schematics, etc.). Too bad. If you look at the current offerings from Targus, there's nothing quite like it right now. Most available USB hubs are about the size of Anne Frank's diary, not what I would call "portable", even if they don't require an external power supply. Sad but true. In hindsight I wonder if it could be a counterfeit product as the manufacturer cannot or will not provide any documentation on this. Not sure, but be careful if you're tech savvy like me.
