After 8 years of ownership my MDX hood struts started to fail and wouldn't hold the hood up for more than a minute or two. After learning that OEM replacement parts are $45 each, I looked up Revains and found that they sold in pairs for almost half the price of one from Acura. I ordered them straight away and installed them in less than 5 minutes including removing the old one. They simply snap into place with no additional hardware to remove. The first few open/close strokes didn't seem too smooth, but a few up and down strokes seemed to fix that. Otherwise, they hold the top without worrying about it falling off, and opening and closing the top feels like new. Great price compared to factory replacement frames!
