One key to mastering them all?

Got a new laptop with relatively few ports? Welcome to #DongleLife, folks. Hubs like this are designed to make that easier by giving you a one-stop solution - a key that hopefully does it all. My Verdict: For casual use, it's a worthy addition to your laptop bag, but if you want a daily "dock" for your peripherals, you'll probably need to shell out more money for an actual dock. Build quality is acceptable, and while it's not exactly tiny, it's light enough to easily fit in a pocket where you'll forget it until you need it. When I plugged in an HDMI cable and mirrored my desktop to a 1080p TV, some of the early compression artifacts were gone, leaving a sharp enough image that's suitable for presentations and good for regular movie viewing. However, the performance won't be enough to drive an external monitor, so don't even think about it. SD card performance was good, at least when tested with some older cards I have. It showed the same results as the built in SD card reader on my laptop, but I may not have a fast enough card to test it with. Don't really put it through many steps. I'm a bit nervous because the built in cable will bend and twist over time making it go less and less in its slot, but so far so good. I intend to toss this thing in my laptop bag and hopefully just my charger to take away the biggest pain of #DongleLife. For this purpose it seems fine.
