Review on The Ultimate Electric Upholstery Carpentry Woodworking Tool: Power and Precision Combined by Ryo Flora

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The instructions are a waste of time but the stapler is not

The instructions were a waste of time hence four stars instead of five. I've never used an electric stapler before so I googled for an hour to figure out how to use it. The first thing you need to know is that unlike a traditional stapler, you are not placing staples on a bar. Instead, you turn the gun upside down, pull the rod out, and insert the staples upside down (flat side down) into the gun. When I got to work I had to fiddle before realizing that the staples go in much better if you put one hand on the trigger and the other on the top of the gun. I am reupholstering my mid-century dining chairs so the staples had to go through three layers of leather and then into the wood. My hand stapler didn't cut it, but it did the job just fine.

Pros
  • 2-in-1 universal nailer/stapler
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
