This heater seems to be on the weak side in terms of heat and airflow, but I'm really surprised at how well it works in the garage. When it gets warmer outside, the heater turns on and off (via an external thermostat) to keep the garage warm. Don't mind keeping the garage temperature around 50 degrees or less in frigid weather, this heater will work. Provided you get into the coldest temperatures when the heater is already keeping the desired temperature in the garage. I mean double garage. I suspect this heater will work even better in a single garage. Make sure you use a programmable external digital thermostat and set the one on the heater to maximum (unless you understand how to use the built in thermostat).
