I use it to connect an auxiliary power supply and/or inverter to company vehicles. I have 3 of these per car. I like that a part connects to itself; no need to buy different cables. I connect one cable to the battery, one to my power supply, and one to my inverter. When I'm somewhere that has AC power and I need to power all the devices in the car, I plug the power supply (I use a Kinetik KIPS12-45 45A 12V smart power supply that works fine except it's a bit finicky at times) in which order do you connect it to the battery and keep all vehicle equipment fully charged and the battery fully charged. If I'm somewhere that doesn't have AC power and I need to run 110v appliances, I plug in my inverter and I have 110v outlets.
