Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Maxtrac Suspension (410520) 2" Rear Lowering Shackle for Chevy C1500/C2500: Boost Performance with Precision Lowering Components by Jake Meyer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They fit 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd!

These are quality shakers but installation can be difficult if you have more than one of the following items. I have a hitch under the truck that I had to remove to install the brackets. I also had to drop the wheel to remove the hitch. The lubrication hole has no thread. I had to drill a hole and put grease in it. It's not difficult, but you should already be threading it through. I had to bend my bath to the side to get the spring high enough to remove the top screw and put the top grease in the new shaker. This can be avoided by completely removing the spring from the axle, but this requires lifting. I only had a jack. The bottom bolt cannot come out if you have a trailer hitch. So the reason is that I removed the hitch and dropped the spare tire. The bracket fits snugly against the frame bracket. I had to adjust the mount with a crowbar and a hammer. It wasn't difficult either, but it did take a bit of persuasion. You will need either a 21mm through socket or a 21mm deep socket. 13/16 also works, but is a bit loose. I would suggest getting a metric socket. This is easy to install if you don't have a hitch and lift. Otherwise it's kind of annoying. Hope this helps the next guy. I don't remember the grease valve. I gave 4 stars because I had to cut the fat. They also don't have red ends, but black ends at the apex.
