Review on πŸš— CB Radio Mounting Bracket for Jeep Wrangler JK (07-18) by Rugged Ridge 11503.95 by Ashwin Drollinger

The perfect place to install my Uniden PRO520XL CB radio. (with updates)

I bought a Revain Uniden PRO520XL CB radio for my 2015 Jeep JKU and have been debating where to put it. This mountain is the perfect place. I thought the installation would be easy, but got nervous when I realized I would have to slide part of the windshield trim out. It turned out that the installation is easy. Remove the liberty plates, carefully slide the fairing out just enough to access the two screws, and the rest is easy (the printed instructions in the box will do the job). The only (very minor) issue was having to drill two holes in the Uniden mount to align it. with a pre-drilled hole in this bracket. I shared photos. I also shared photos of the wiring from the battery, through the firewall, and the shroud. Cable not yet connected to the battery (red/plus and black/ground). The antenna isn't installed yet and the coax cable isn't running yet, so I can't share any more photos. (Update 1) Last week it rained heavily and blew sideways. I have a hard top on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU. If you own a Jeep Wrangler, you know that sometimes water seeps in through the seam of the Freedom Panels. My jeep is no exception and in the morning I found water dripping down the sides of the CB radio. I'm lucky that the vent on my CB is at the bottom to keep water out. If the vent were on the top or side, it would likely damage the internal circuitry.
