There were some problems, but it works.

Had to make some modifications to fit a 2007 Wrangler. One of the fountain inserts was missing, a small black rubber thing with brass threads. There was only one in the set. With a few alternate screws I had in the parts bin and some drilling, it worked. If you have a 2010 or older JK, it will be quick and painless. We shot a full installation video "Installing the Rugged Ridge JK CB Mount Jeep Wranglerโ€.

15 Year Jeep JK Portable AV Suitable

Installed on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I use CB Uniden PRO520XL Pro. Although this is a small, lightweight radio, I feel this mount can handle three times the weight of the radio I've been using. It's very well built, well painted, etc. I've tested it on a bumpy trail behind my house and on a well-worn road. I didn't notice the mount jumping at all. Installing the mount took less than 10 minutes. This is the perfect place for a radio. It is high enough away from traffic, the general area ofโ€ฆ

Not suitable for 2008 Jeep JK Wrangler! Get your drill when you order it!

It was a complete failure. In order for it to work with my 08 JK, according to the instructions, I have to drill the rivets out of the Lakaien loop and then mount the threaded bushings supplied. Better to drill clean and straight! You will then need to shorten some of the clips on the fairing, namely the large pointed part (which holds up the sun visor fairing). I'm not sure if it stays after it's removed. And if you do all that, the radio will stay TOO LOW and block the rearview mirror. Myโ€ฆ

Does the job! for portable AV devices

It's almost what you would expect. It's well built and gets the job done. When mounting your radio I suggest you think about it a little more than I do. I like the mounting location, but now the factory rearview mirror is useless and faces down; There is not enough space, at least for the radio I chose (Cobra 29LX). If I hadn't put so much effort into getting the radio I wanted in the location that I've spent so much time setting up (wiring is a treat here), I might have opted for a differentโ€ฆ

Should belong to EVERY JK.

I've never seen a better way to fit a radio in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK! Installation took 15 minutes and did not require complete removal (just a slight 'shift') of the trim below the mounting location. This spot is very convenient for running power and antenna cables, again without removing the trim completely. The mount is very stable with little vibration which I dampened with a small rubber bottle stopper and easily holds a 4lb 2M radio in my car. The microphone cable hook is perfect. Iโ€ฆ

Slightly wavy but very satisfying JK radio mount solution

Rugged Ridge CB mount fits my 2017 Wrangler Sport 2 door perfectly. Installation took about an hour. To do this, three decorative elements around the windshield and the sunroof retaining bracket must be removed. No drilling is required, but you will need torx bits to remove the retaining clip. The mount itself is a little thinner than I would choose if I were making it from scratch. While driving, my UV-50x2 vibrates and wobbles quite a lot. It can be annoying but I don't think the mount willโ€ฆ

The perfect place to install my Uniden PRO520XL CB radio. (with updates)

I bought a Revain Uniden PRO520XL CB radio for my 2015 Jeep JKU and have been debating where to put it. This mountain is the perfect place. I thought the installation would be easy, but got nervous when I realized I would have to slide part of the windshield trim out. It turned out that the installation is easy. Remove the liberty plates, carefully slide the fairing out just enough to access the two screws, and the rest is easy (the printed instructions in the box will do the job). The onlyโ€ฆ

I like this mount as it sets my CB up and .

I like this mount because it elevates my CB and gets it out of the way, but is still reachable. However, there are a few things that could make this mount better and more reliable. If you are using a larger CB (like me the Cobra 29XL) you will find that this mount is not strong enough to hold your CB 100% securely. If the metal used for this bracket was a bit thicker or stronger it would be much better. I ended up putting some thick strips of foam between my CB and the top of the windshieldโ€ฆ
