Lightweight material. Rather thin. I had one many years ago, solidly made, but got lost when moving. This one does the job and time will tell how durable it is. Just downgraded from 3 to 1 star. I put it aside after purchasing it and used it yesterday. The silver finish is lacquer! It burned and released possibly toxic fumes. I was surprised that the manufacturer actually applied paint to a product that was intended to be used on a stovetop over a fire. Unbelievable. More paint was peeling off areas that weren't burned. I don't understand how some people can give 5 star reviews.
