Well this is a great product but by the measurements it 'should' be long enough for my 8ft aluminum truck tarp. It was about 8 inches too "short". I didn't waste anything, I made the right cuts, but they were short. Too bad I didn't measure it "before". doesn't look long enough. Forced to do so in cold weather, I rushed to get it done and didn't take the time to "measure" the length of the roll before I started (Bad!) Mat the same thickness and filled last 7-8 inches under the hood. Great product that was fairly easy to install and cut as advertised but was about 8" smaller than the standard 8" truck cap. Frod F150 early 90's. Its outside measurements on this lid are 22'8" so it was (roll length) SHORT by at least 7-8"! Advertised as 23 feet. It was not.
