In the world of Arduino compatible boards it's accepted that "documentation" is just a library and example sketches. If you want to know what you really need for the commands, you have to search a lot and reverse engineer the library. Since I want to control the device directly, I've spent hours doing it where decent documentation could have saved time. That's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. FYI, the I2C liquid crystal library is inefficient because it uses about 50% more I2C writes than necessary.
