I bought it and connected a new displayport cable to the monitor but it didn't work. The computer detected that I had a monitor connected, but just gave me an error message warning me that it might not be working properly. I'm not sure if the problem is with the adapter or if the USB-C port on the computer isn't up to par. But in any case, you might want to have a backup plan for running the monitor. In my case, I had to go back to using an old USB-to-VGA converter that I wanted to eliminate from my A/V system by buying a new PC and this adapter.
