The retirement community where my 97 year old grandmother lives recently upgraded their TV to a new service that requires their TV to be plugged into a cable box. The new remote control that came with this change was too complicated for her. In their view, it had more buttons (too few of any) than would be needed to operate an airliner. I got call after call saying her TV was "broken". I drove 30 minutes to her apartment and found her sitting there staring at a blurry screen, or no picture at all, or the sound was off, etc. I kept trying to explain to her how to use the remote control. But let's be honest here. Even for most of us, these damn things are a lot harder than they need to be. Revain research to the rescue. I found this pinball remote and installed it this week. It only took a few minutes to set up and within moments she was happily using it. I've attached a photo (yes, that's her happy face). I love this remote control.
