Wouldn't recommend Good for AV accessories

The premise is great and it turned out to be just right for my wife with dementia who has great difficulty finding normal to use the remote control of their TV and cable box. Programming is harder than it should be and once I programmed it it didn't always go to the next channel. Sometimes it would only hit part of the number and stop (e.g. it might go to channel 43 when channel 434 should have been). Sometimes the channel buttons stopped working, for this it was necessary to open the cover and

Will not work with California Xfinity cable

This seems to be the answer to the constant problems my mother (dementia) and father (blindness) have with a broken Xfiniity/Comcast remote on their have a new television. at a nursing home in Burlingame, California. They randomly change the input from HDM1 to TV and it took 6 trips in two weeks to fix it. Long story short, this pinball remote DOES NOT WORK with the Xfinity cable box installed in Burlingame, CA in December 2017. Xfinity has stated that there is NO remote like this on the market

Look out. That doesn't work for retirees.

Main problem with this product: It goes out of 'sync' very quickly when turning the TV and set top box on/off. This means that one or the other device is "on" and the other is "off". Once that happens, you'll never be able to get the remote power button to turn them on at the same time again. When you press the button, one turns on and the other turns off. New version fixes power failure problem

Many reviews mention a critical bug where pressing the power button on the remote sometimes turns on the TV but not the cable box. This almost put me off buying the remote as, like many reviewers here, this issue would make this remote worth buying for those wanting an ultra-simple and hassle-free experience. Works after programming, but then randomly adds unprogrammed channels

First a little background. I have been involved with computers and programming for almost 40 years. And I've been using programmable remotes since 1986. My wife has Alzheimer's and just can't use the standard Xfinity remote to control our kitchen Vizio TV and Xfinity HD STB. She doesn't even know which red button on the Xfinity remote is supposed to turn the TV and paired set-top box on and off. The red power button on the Xfinity remote says "All on" to control the TV and STB and gets confused
