Out of the box I was a little underwhelmed. I thought "wow, what a sucker I am. This is worth about $20.00 and not $32.” Once I put it together (on the kitchen table because it won’t work under the tree) it’s actually pretty cute. Runs fast, good sounds. We decided to buy a piece of wood to put on top of the train table (too small to fit in). I think the grandkids will love viewing it. This is not a toy that kids can play/touch. Typical made in China quality.
