Review on Sceptre C325B 185RD: Curved Screen with DisplayPort, FreeSync, Blue Light Filter, and Built-In Speakers by Brandon Parker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great monitor - terrible speakers

I bought this to double as a cheap Xbox gaming monitor on my desk and on that front when I have a headset it's amazing the higher refresh in PC and Xbox One X gaming is extremely noticeable. This is the hardest monitor I've ever had to adjust - it's dark and dim but has all the settings to make it bright and sharp like a high-end monitor. I also got it because I rarely just want to pump sound from the Xbox - MY previous monitor, an old Asus, had built-in speakers that sounded great. Talking about it is absolute nonsense, the built in speakers are actually one of the reasons I bought the monitor and my other Dell computer's internal speaker sounds better than the mono sound coming out of this thing. So pay attention - I used the headphone jack to connect a portable speaker to my monitor when I need sound and light years better. It would be a solid 5 out of 5 if only they put in a slightly better speaker. But as far as image quality goes, it's incredible value for money.
