Amazing Value - Bushings

I purchased this item expecting to throw away $20. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this thing actually works as advertised and works very well. I've had this thing for three days now. Here are some highlights: Pros: 1. Incredible price (compared to much more expensive competitors)2. The software is very basic (some issues I'll cover later meant I was up and running in 40 minutes, but could have done less)3. It recognized my modem (although the box says "North America" - it recognized my Huawei USB modem from Egypt. yard). .Disadvantages:1. BIG bug: the admin account password doesn't change, and the default password is printed right next to the input field in the web admin. I changed it several times via UI, tried many different things, but it only responded to "Admin" at the end. You must rely on the security of the Wi-Fi network itself. You cannot leave this field on a public network, otherwise anyone can enter your configuration as an administrator. I hate that part. 2. No power button! You have to unplug the power cord to restart. 3. It would be very handy to have another LAN port (there's only 1!) - can't fault much since the device only provides drivers e USB tethering and cannot access the SIM card immediately (e.g. Mifi). In short: I am very satisfied with the simplicity of the device and the absolutely unbeatable price-performance ratio. I hope it lasts and doesn't burn out anytime soon (it's too good to be true). If it proves durable, I would heartily recommend it as a great alternative to the many other devices you can find on Amazon that cost at least two or three times as much for almost the same functionality (Note: this device is AC powered , no battery options, so there's no portability here unless you have a clever idea of your own).

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
