Review on Refoss Smart Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener with APP Control, Alexa and Google Assistant Compatibility, No Hub Required by Robert Mulrooney

I have a two car garage with two single doors and an opening mechanism. I bought two of these Refoss Smart WiFi devices to remotely control my garage door. My garage door openers are from two different brands, one is the Overhead Door Legacy model which is probably 25 years old and the other is the Liftmaster Professional Formula 1 which is 8 years old. About 1 year ago I bought an intelligent door opener Liftmaster MyQ. It was a pain to install and use. It took many days and several calls to Liftmaster before we finally got it working. But the phone app was slow and never worked when I needed it. The battery in one of the MyQ door sensors recently had to be replaced. After replacing the door stopped opening and closing through the application. It would only show if it was open or closed. I stumbled across the Refoss device and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. they were very easy to install. Just download the eHomeLife app on your phone and follow the instructions. The app guides you through connecting the device to your WiFi network and through each step of the hardware setup. Installing and configuring both took about 30 minutes. The integration with Alexa and Google also works well, which was missing with the smart MyQ opener, which cost 3 times as much. You must set up a PIN in the eHomeLife app to use Alexa or Google voice commands. The Android version of the app includes a widget that you can add to any of your screens for quick and easy access to door opening/closing. Other features include: customizable notifications every time the door is opened or closed; Notification that the door is open for a certain time; the ability to force the application to automatically close the door that was open during the selected period; Notification every evening at a set time when the door is open; and check/install firmware updates as they become available. All in all, these are very impressive devices.
