Review on Bushnell Hybrid Rangefinder: 🏌️ Advanced Distance Measuring Tool for Golfers by Frank Rivera

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Now you have no excuse for not hitting the ball from the right distance.

This is the latest version of Bushnell's hybrid GPS range finder and golf laser range finder. It's lighter than the previous one, but has two improvements over the previous version: It includes GPS information on an internal laser screen, so you can see both the actual distance from the pin and the distance between greens and front/back patches, one second improvement adds their technology boost to the model. The device works well, is easy to use and quickly brings up a needle when using a laser. I've only used it in a few games, so I may change my rating if I use it more often. Two things I don't like about this version are the GPS battery life and the rubber eyepiece. If you put the device in the case with the eyepiece up, there is a risk that it will fall out when you take the device out of the case. Small but inconveniences. Of even more concern is the fact that Bushnell used a dual battery system in this device instead of a single rechargeable battery. In this new device you have a built in rechargeable battery that powers the GPS and a removable CR2 battery that powers the laser. With the previous device, both of which were powered by a built-in battery, it easily lasted 3 or more games before needing a charge. And even if the charge drops to the point where the GPS stops working, you can still use the laser to complete the lap. The new version of the built-in battery should last for 3 laps, but so far it hardly lasts for 2 laps.

Pros
  • Up to 4 danger distances per hole
Cons
  • Useless features
