Seems to work as it should. This cleared the P0420 CEL. Engine performance was definitely restored. The fit was correct, however there are a few screws that don't match the OEM catalog location, but it was mostly redundant screws that didn't disable the setup. The only catch here is that there aren't enough threaded holes at the top to securely attach the heat shield. Why? Only 1 screw went right. Of course, this will lead to rattling if you don't fix the problem yourself. Otherwise very happy with this cat for the price. I'm a little worried about how long this will take, but I'll definitely update my review. --- EDIT: Code P0420 returned after 37,000 miles. I can't tell if it's the same cat. I'll change the sensors and skip some nail polish thinner and post an update. Hopefully the catalytic converter doesn't die that quickly. --- UPDATE: Code P0420 before the catalytic converter had 50,000 miles. Sensors changed, car checked for exhaust leaks, everything else works; The mechanic said it was most likely the catalytic converter. As the car's performance doesn't seem to be affected yet, I'll try some more unorthodox cleaning methods and update as the condition improves.
