I needed a compact snow brush that could fit in the trunk or under the seat. This worked great because it pops out and the brush head rotates. I had no problems with the lock/expand mechanism, it may not be very intuitive but very easy to use once you get the hang of it. You just have to hold the shaft and rotate the middle black part. The head also rotates easily and is held firmly in any position. I've pushed my cars with it a few dozen times, the bristles are soft and work well. The ice scraper is pretty standard, takes a bit of effort and use a de-icer, but it works as well as any ice scraper I've had.
