Amazing product! - Scanners and Accessories

This scanner is perhaps the most amazing peripheral I have ever used in my 25+ years of computing. Simply put, it does EXACTLY what it claims to do: duplex scan alongside any document you might be able to send through its scan engine (the only limitation is that it can't scan thick or intertwined objects. If so if you need it, you have to go back to the flatbed scanner). However, for document scanning this scanner combined with DevonThink Pro Office is a 5 star paperless office solution. If it's a piece of flat paper (or similar material - I've also successfully scanned plastic and thin metal!) it will be scanned onto your Mac and DevonThink will take care of character recognition and document storage in the excellent (again 5 stars) DevonThink -Document archive. If you really want to enter the *handy* era of the "paperless office", this scanner and DevonThink are the perfect solution for you. What is really amazing? You can put this pup in "Hi Rez" mode (600 DPI) and scan photos that you can edit in Photoshop and print on a 6 color inkjet printer with a print size of 8" x 10" with photorealistic results. NO, this is not a dedicated professional 4800 DPI scanner. !But gosh, you're scanning photos on the go :-) This nifty thing isn't much bigger than a large paperback and:* comes with a free (shipping order) carrying case,* CAN be powered by you MacBook/Pro-USB -Port* (in my experience, scanning with a USB stick is 20% slower, but who cares! They scan EVERYWHERE, ANYTIME!) * has rock-solid recovery from scan jams* (yes, they happen, and a Push of a button eliminates them. It and Fujitsu's damn scanning software are smart enough to fix themselves and prompt you to rescan the jammed sheet - even while scanning 30+ pages!) * It scans stacks of different paper sizes and automatically detects the size! (For example, for my non-commercial work, I scan an 8" x 10" incident report sheet and immediately follow it with a 3 x 6 company size check - I successfully scanned a batch of 10 reports and checks in one session) * 100% working like a Mac: * SIMPLY WORKS * * Unpack, plug in, open lid, insert sheet, scan, DONE! (Disclaimer: I don't work for Fujitsu or DevonThink, although I've beta tested DevonThink in the past, I'm a PAID licensee of DevonThink Pro Office - YES, it's SO good! :-) Just get this scanner - you will don't regret it!
