The key to the easy setup of this unit is the included CD. Make sure there is no other device on 192.168.1.1 (e.g. a firewall - if there is a device on that address, just temporarily disconnect it from the network and later assign the print server a static address, e.g 1.40) and insert the CD. You don't have to install anything, if you don't want to start the wizard from the CD. Connect the printer to the device and connect the server to your network. Turn on the printer and the server. Run the wizard from the CD. That's all. The wizard finds the device. If you want to set a static address, do so now. If you need to install a printer driver, a wizard will help you. So easy with the master! This purchase was made to add another server to our network. I bought another TE100 because we are very fortunate to have a TE100 that has been running 24/7 for five years (and is still running).
