HUGE bulbs! I wanted something for my garage to decorate better than 3 150w CFLs. You did the trick very well. Please note that the shade on them may differ from your other bulbs. That wasn't a problem for me, I wanted to be able to see! Switches on immediately and fits into any standard socket. But be careful with the sizes! These bulbs are HUGE and if you are in a situation where bulb height might be an issue please double check (I couldn't use them in half of my garage due to the garage door gap). However, I joke with my wife about it, when I turn on the light and she's with me, I also make a song of praise because these things are SOOOOO bright compared to regular lightbulbs. I know that wasn't their original intent, but these things work amazingly. I've also put a few in my rec room so I can clearly see what needs painting, woodwork, etc.
