I built a computer based on the ASUS M5N78L-MUSB3 motherboard and installed a USB port/card reader combo on the front panel, but for some reason the computer didn't recognize my external hard drives when it It was connected to USB ports. Hoping to solve this problem, I bought and installed SEDNA - an internal 4-port USB 3.0 hub (floppy bay). With this, my computer now recognizes my external hard drives, whether they are USB 2.0 or 3.0 compatible. This device must be connected to an available USB 3.0 port to provide USB 3.0 speeds. Since I had two open USB 3.0 ports on my mainboard, this did not cause any problems. This device works great!
