Do not waste your money

As a result of using this product, I found that it is incredibly slow and unreliable. I was unable to transfer files between my devices and found it frustrating to use.

Not ideal when used with a 20-pin connector.

This item works but is not an elegant solution for adding USB 3.0 ports to the front of your computer. I did not fully read the item description or understand that this 4 port hub only uses a pigtail to connect to an existing external USB 3.0 port (which is typically found on the back of a computer case). Had I understood this feature I would not have purchased this device as I wanted to fully utilize the existing 20 pin header on my motherboard. Note that the device includes a 20-pin adapter…

I built a computer based on the ASUS M5N78L-MUSB3 motherboard and installed a USB port/card reader combo on the front panel, but for some reason the computer didn't recognize my external hard drives when it It was connected to USB ports.
