I carry one of these in my back pocket. For years I carried around a disposable plastic poncho and mylar blanket. It combines the best of both. I divided the rest between my survival kits. Mylar isn't very strong when you unfold it, but it fits nicely in my back pocket. In order for Mylar to do its job, it needs to wrap around you, and this configuration does just that, allowing you to move and use your arms.
