Overheated, the slowest in modems
Overheats quickly with heavy internet use. The speed drops sharply. It works well when the room temperature is below 70 or with an active cooler. To install an active cooler, you need to open the case, which will void the warranty. not worth your money. You can get a used ARRIS for $20-$25 with twice the channels. Almost all ARRIS models have excellent performance histories and an equally convenient plug-and-play setup. I believe the poor cooling is due to the poor construction of the cheap plastic case.
