Review on Lincoln Electric Aluminum Compatible PowerMIG by Alfonso Tipton

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Trash, duct tape holding mine together

Update: Biggest piece of junk I've ever seen off a Lincoln is for those who make plain aluminum from time to time. not for projects or for long term use like 3 hours. First the spool cap screw broke because it only caught 2 threads, then the inner spool nut failed to hold tension to prevent the spool from unwinding. Have continued to burn bits and found that the wire take-up wheel and tension wheel are misaligned. So the wire didn't sit in the groove made to pull it off the spool, now a complete break won't pull the wire, now I'm stuck in the middle of the project and ready to hit a big hammer on this #*%& so up 1/2 1st coil it worked quite well, after that the outer coil nut (plastic) is torn off. it is not uncommon for the wire to jump off the thrust wheel. Well welded, but not suitable for tight spaces.

Pros

Cons
  • Unbelievable price
