Update: Biggest piece of junk I've ever seen off a Lincoln is for those who make plain aluminum from time to time. not for projects or for long term use like 3 hours. First the spool cap screw broke because it only caught 2 threads, then the inner spool nut failed to hold tension to prevent the spool from unwinding. It's great. Easy connection. Works well. I have a Lincoln Pro MIG 180 Dual and it's plugged in, the switch flipped, hooked up to 100% Argon and ready to go. I am not a professional MIG welder. I am 65 years old and still learning. I've always wanted to weld aluminum and this gives me the chance to do it. This is slightly faster than a traditional weld. a few coils of wire.
