Review on Kryptonite Keeper Standard Bicycle Bracket by Jeff Hill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

OK lock if you set it up correctly

I first tried mounting this lock on the seat tube but as other reviewers have pointed out the lock cannot be placed in the frame triangle as it has to slide in to be removed. So, like others, I rotated the mount 90 degrees and laid it on its side. It was just normal because sometimes my foot bumped against the lock. I tried mounting it to the top tube with the included bolts, but my Trek Navigator 200's top tube was too big for it, so I used some 2" x #8 mounting bolts instead. While it doesn't look good, it holds up the lock away from my feet and also makes room for a water bottle in the triangle of the frame.I have used the rubber strip provided in the mount to prevent it from rotating.I have attached pictures to this product showing how I did it Installed it Lock worked fine. The key mechanism can be a bit stiff at times, but other than that I haven't had any problems. August 2016 update: the lock still works great despite daily use and outdoor storage! I occasionally drip some oil into it Lock for holding ran smoothly. The bracket also holds very well. Rating increased to 4 stars.
