I've tried a few less expensive scopes trying to find one that could be used on the range as well as for the occasional animal or moon sighting. For the price, this scope offers crisp images and quality construction. Increasingly cheaper scopes lose sharpness at higher magnifications, but this scope produced the sharpest image with some color fringing at maximum magnification. It's lightweight and the tripod, while not the most expensive, is really good for the price. It was very stable on the shooting table and the knob was easy to tighten/loosen to adjust your vision. At a distance of 200 meters, I came across a lantern near me. The image was sharp and clear and I could easily read the 4-6 inch letters/codes on the pole. At 100 yards I could easily and clearly see small 22 gauge holes in the target. For the moon I only used 25 power but the image was clear. To see the moon at high magnification I need to try a bigger and sturdier tripod. Overall this scope performs as promised, is well built and for the price (again, this isn't your high-end optic) it's more than enough for everyday use or outdoor wildlife viewing. 5 Stars!
