Review on Filter Coconut Granular Activated Charcoal by Fred Griffin

This activated charcoal comes in small pieces, just what I needed. Most of the carbon you can find comes in the form of large granules that are really only good for filtering water. However, I was not very happy with the packaging. Activated charcoal can attract pollutants from the air, reducing its effectiveness. I somewhat doubt that tying a knot in a plastic bag creates a very good seal for keeping that carbon fresh. There is no label on the box so I have no idea how old this charcoal is; which will also go a long way to verifying freshness.
