My Durango key was lost. The 1 inch wheel lock tool will not engage the lock nut. I tried using a pneumatic hammer and hammering the tool on the locking bar - it didn't grab. As a result I used a 22mm impact head. Notched and immediately unscrewed. Using a long 1/4 inch extension, remove the lock from the socket and tap it out with a hammer. If the size was a little larger, I think it would work well.
