This was the perfect valve cover replacement for my 2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4L ECO model. I didn't use silicone to make the seals between the gasket and the head and I had no leakage. The old one didn't have them, so I didn't want to risk it. I went ahead and replaced the spark plugs with a different set when the time came and the coils were removed anyway. The OEM connectors are ACDelco 41121 and 4 of them only cost about $20 so why not? Be sure to torque the bolts to 72 in-lbs (6 ft/lbs) in factory order using a 1/4-inch torque wrench. My $12 HF key worked fine. 1/2" extension and socket wrench. The car runs smooth and idles perfectly as if it were new again. Before it stalled, the brake lights would approach when the engine was idling and the vacuum level would drop.
